Savage Axis Tactical Bolt Handle Right Hand Black with Black Cross Hatch Tactical Knob.
This part has been designed, developed and tested on the Savage Axis platform and is indexed to provide scope clearance while maximizing leverage and ergonomics for fast bolt cycling. CNC machined from a solid piece of carbon steel and threaded in industry standard 5/16X24. This part incorporates our new Ferritic Nitrocarburized finish (Melonite). This process, in adition to blackening the part, creates a very hard surface layer that should prove to be very durable and corrosion resistant.  The surface hardness of the part falls between 600 to 820 on the Vickers Scale (HV), which is about 55 to 62 on the Rockwell C scale. Below the surface layer, the process also imparts a hardness of about 45 HRC.
We are including a black anodized aluminum cross hatch knob.
